The Database goes back about 10 years, BUT, not all events were run for the entire period. Some events were added later for naming convenience (nothing we can do about it). From the beginning, the database was designed to standardize event names, eliminating the possibility of M8+ and 8+Mens type overlap, but there is nothing we can do about W 8+, W Open 8+, W Varsity 8+ and Jr W Varsity 8+ overlaps. It is not a perfect world. We are considering just a simple Mens and Women 8 and 4 summary, lumping open, varsity, JV and novice times across all races. Feedback would be helpful if you are interested in something particular. There will be times that are obviously unrealistic for a 1000 m race, those are probably a shorter distance. Unforunately, even though the program had the ability to record the distance, often it was left un-noted in the database. Rather that report a distance that we are uncertain of, we will leave it to you to decide the merits of the recorded time.
