Campaign Captains Fundraising Toolkit
Dear Campaign Captain,
Thank you for organizing a fundraising campaign to support the Green Lake Community Boathouse and our campaign to build a new home!
There are many ways for you to support us in our vision of expanding access to rowing, paddling, and sailing on Green Lake for the next 70 years. To accomplish this, we will build a new Community Boathouse on the site of the existing facility, remodel the existing Massart Shellhouse and upgrade the docks to provide better access.
The new Green Lake Community Boathouse will strive to be a place that:
- Empowers anyone to excel, regardless of background or circumstances
- Embraces its unique obligation as a public program to reach everyone
- Inspires more youth to experience the transformative sports of rowing or paddling
- Shares with others the impact that rowing and paddling have had on so many lives
- Celebrates our legacy as a leader in youth rowing
This fundraising toolkit provides everything you need to know and do to organize your own mini-campaign that will motivate your peers to take action. The kit includes tips on planning an event, sample letters and emails, suggested posts for social media, sample collateral materials, and model thank-yous. Depending on how much time you have there are simple (write and send strategies) and more involved projects like hosting an event at your home or office.
Thank you for your efforts to help this campaign cross the finish line on our fundraising and break ground for the new Green Lake Community Boathouse in 2020.
